Memory Fragment #1 explores aspects of Jacques Soddell’s mother’s life, including her life as a refugee from Hitler, Communism and Europe, using images from his mother’s archives, her dressmaking journal from her days in Paris and an interview recorded before her death. “Does your mother have a Nazi swastika stamped on her ID photos?"

Geometric forms in an amorphous space. A combination of chaos and order. A Deconstructed City challenges a viewer’s interpretation of space, depth and logic. The structures represented in the scenes remind a viewer of buildings fused with minimalist sculptures, thus invoking a sense of unsteadiness.
